Thales Alenia Space @ Indo Defence

MilSatCom

Indo Defence will be the perfect opportunity for Thales Alenia Space to spotlight its expertise in military satellite communications (Milsatcom), including the latest ComSat NG contract. This system, built by Thales Alenia Space as prime on behalf of French defense procurement agency DGA, will comprise two telecom satellites for French armed forces, replacing the Syracuse 3A and Syracuse 3B satellites, launched in 2005 and 2006, respectively. These new satellites are expected to start operational service in 2021, giving France a higher performance Milsatcom system that also offers new services.
Earth Observer Optical: the space vigil
Thales Alenia Space will be spotlighting its new-technology solution for very-high-resolution optical observation systems. The cutting-edge Earth-Observer Optical is a turnkey system designed for operational applications such as surveillance, agriculture, urban development, risk management and aid during natural disasters. Offering global coverage, it will give users independent observation capabilities for a service life of ten years. Earth Observer-Optical is also compatible with small launchers, making it a very cost-competitive product. Its extensive acquisition capabilities mean that it complies with even the most demanding programming requirements. It can be part of an extended collaboration plan, tailored to each country’s specific needs, including operational support and training services (classroom and practical). Thales Alenia Space is clearly aiming to support the local development of applications that meet the specific needs of each country and each business.
