Thales Alenia Space Switzerland is born
Zurich, November 30, 2016 – Following Thales Alenia Space’s acquisition of RUAG’s opto-electronics business line, finalized on November 2, the company announced today the official creation of its Swiss subsidiary, Thales Alenia Space Switzerland.
Elisabetta Rugi Grond has been named CEO of Thales Alenia Space Switzerland, after originally heading RUAG’s opto-electronics business line.
Based in Zurich, Thales Alenia Space Switzerland is specialized in the engineering and production of instruments for scientific satellites, as well as optical communications terminals for space applications. The company has 75 employees and posted sales of 18 million Swiss francs in 2015 (16.6 million euros). More info: click here
