A complete range of optical and radar observation satellites
Thales Alenia Space’s new Optical Observation system, designed for applications such as surveillance, agriculture, urban development, risk and natural disaster management, delivers very-high-resolution images that meet the expectations of civil and military markets.
The European satellite manufacturer offers a complete range of flexible and high-performance solutions, especially with the new Optical Observation system and the Radar Observation system, based on a synthetic aperture radar (SAR). This system is a perfect match for customers’ dual missions, combining civil and defense applications.
Stratobus™, a brand-new approach
Perfectly complementary with satellite systems, the autonomous StratobusTM stratospheric airship concept will also be on display in Poland. Marking a major breakthrough over current systems [since it doesn’t need a launcher], StratobusTM is capable of meeting the needs of security and defense forces, for example by offering permanent surveillance over a predefined regional coverage zone.
Thales Alenia Space, celebrating 2-1/2 year anniversary in Poland!
Thales Alenia Space’s Polish subsidiary was founded in 2015, but the company’s joint endeavors with Polish companies and research organizations reaches back to 2012. Thales Alenia Space fully intends to be a major partner in the development of the Polish space sector, by acting as a catalyzer for the domestic industry, especially for defense and Earth observation applications. During the coming years, Thales Alenia Space will implement a program designed to foster the growth of Poland’s space capabilities, along with the independence of local industry. The overall aim is to remodel the reach of Polish industry, with Thales Alenia Space as a partner that can integrate local partners in its supply chain.
Thales Alenia Space has the capabilities needed to provide a complete offering of optical and radar observation systems, designed to meet Poland’s immediate defense needs. Compatible with the Cosmo-SkyMed constellation, this offering will ensure Poland’s autonomy in space. Driven by new collaboration agreements with local partners on ESA projects, Thales Alenia Space is clearly expanding its footprint, not only in Poland, but above all in Europe with the opening of recent facilities in Switzerland and Belgium.
