It has already been more than 60 years that Thales Alenia Space’s site of Turin is active in sustaining humanity’s intents related to human and robotics exploration of the cosmos, developing solutions to foster humanity’s presence in Space.

Teams building future homes for commercial stations in low-Earth orbit (LEO) are now working inside the facilities that housed in the pat the development of Spacelab and key pressurized components of the International Space Station.

Meanwhile, only a few meters away, NASA’s HALO and ESA’s Lunar I-Hab, the two first habitable modules of Gateway cislunar space station and vital pillars of Artemis program, are evolving to get ready soon to enable humanity’s return to the Moon, to stay.

This is the reason why, as part of the IAC Astronaut Chapter, more than 10 astronauts coming from different countries around the world, representatives from various generations of space heroines and heroes, decided to visit Thales Alenia Space’s plant of Turin, the “door to space exploration”.

Carmen Possnig, Anthea Comellini, Reinhold Ewald, Paolo Nespoli, Alvin Drew, Tony Antonelli, Soichi Noguchi, Akihiko Hoshide, Luca Parmitano, Hazzaa Ali AlMansoori, and Andrea Patassa lived undisputed space vibes along their careers, and that is exactly what we wanted to let them live here in Turin, thanks to the projects we are developing as part of the next private or institutional human space-flight endeavor in space.

Take the chance to see the best moments of astronauts immersing in ALTEC and Thales Alenia Space's most relevant areas.
