government officials were welcomed by Massimo Comparini, Senior Executive Vice President, Observation, Exploration and Navigation Business Line, and CEO of Thales Alenia Space in Italy. The delegation visited the Satellite Integration Center and the Antenna and Equipment Center, two units at the heart of communications, navigation and Earth observation satellite development, integration, assembly and test (AIT). Given today’s daunting challenges in the current uncertain context, satellites play an even more important role in Society, for example by monitoring climate change, managing road traffic and providing geolocation services.
