satélite de alta capacidad JSAT-31, que operará en las bandas Ka y Ku, brindará servicios de conectividad en banda ancha en Japón, el Sudeste Asiático, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y las islas del Pacífico, y será el satélite más potente de la flota de SKY Perfect JSAT fabricado hasta la fecha. JSAT-31, cuyo lanzamiento está previsto para 2027, es el 31º satélite adquirido por SKY Perfect JSAT desde el inicio del programa con JCSAT-1, y es también el primer satélite que este operador encarga a Thales Alenia Space.
